Language Arts:
- Grade 3/4 hav been learning about "Reading Comprehension" skills through pictures.
Ask me about the strategies we use to look for the main idea.
- We did our pre spelling test on Tuesday. The pre test gives us an idea about the words the we need to practice more.
Grade 3's spelling focus is long and short "oo" and academic vocabulary .
Grade4's spelling focus is "et" pattern and academic vocabulary.
New spelling list.The spelling test will be on May 8th.

April 22nd, was "Earth Day" .We did opinion writing on 3 Rs; Reduce,Reuse,Recycle.We also made seed balls .Ask me about the procedure. 
Math:
We have started working on our"Dream Bedroom" project for area and perimeter. We will be planning, measuring to scale and decorating a bedroom by using formulas to measure area and perimeter of the furniture , walls, and rugs etc.
Science:
Grade 3/4 are working on the next simple machine "Gears" .We are learning about what is a gear, how is this helpful and its use in our daily lives. We are very excited to have a virtual workshop through "Scientist In School" on Simple Machines on May 6th.
