Language Arts :

We are learning about writing a paragraph. A paragraph has a specific structure to follow. Today, we focused on the "Topic Sentence" .We identified and structured  our own  topic sentences. Ask me to show 

you the sheet from today. Next, we are going to learn about different ways of starting a sentence to make it interesting .

Math :

We continued learning about multiplication .Grade 3s are working on writing and math sentence showing their understanding  of 1-digit by 1- digit  multiplication.

Grade 4s are working on 2-digit by 1- digit and 2- digit by 2- digit multiplication.some of the grade 3s and 4s wanted to challenges themselves with multiplication with regrouping .

Science:

We have started our new Science unit "Wheels and Levers" .We will be focusing on "simple machines" in daily life . We watched a science video today and jot down the important information to use later on. Tomorrow we are going to research some key terms during our technology time. 

Reminders:

- Fossil due by Friday

- Hot Soup Tuesday and Thursday 

- Be careful on the snow, the wind made it extremely slippery
