Hello Room 3 !
We have been very busy completing our units and wrapping up the projects.
Language Arts : We have been learning about non-fiction text features their use in writing e.g heading, captions, diagrams , text boxes , labelling and many more. Ask me to name a few of the text features . We are writing our own "Who Would Win" books after doing online research and reading books .We are including the text features in our books to make them more interesting .
Our last spelling test of the year is on Friday June 26th.
Grade 3 are focusing on homonyms. Grade4 are focusing on "o" sound .

Math : We have completed our fractions and decimal unit. We have been working on "Shape and Space "unit. Ask em to describe the 2-d and 3-D shapes and how many faces, vertices and edges do they have ?
We are brining home a 3-D creature built with all 3-D shapes. 
Art: We have been learning about photography and some basic techniques of focus, Close -up," Bokeh "and the rule of one third. Ask me how have I used these techniques in photography? We also wrote "Captions" to the pictures by drawing the reader's attention to the aspect we want them to focus on in the picture e.g the beauty of nature, connectivity, peacefulness and deeper connection to nature.
