Please mark your calendars and join us for the next School Council meeting on March 9, 2021 at 6:30 pm. I will be presenting a proposal for a Shortened Friday for Professional Learning beginning in the 2021-22 school year. We meet virtually through TEAMS.

Math

We completed our DREAM (DRop Everything And Math) challenge. We are working on our subtraction skills. Also, we organized the data we had collected yesterday in bar graphs .

Literacy

Have you heard of the book Wonder? We are reading it and working hard on our comprehension skills. Ask me about the book. Spelling test is being sent home today.

Science: We have completed our "Toy Cars" in "Wheels and Levers " unit.They look a amazing!During the process of building the cars we learnt a lot of things about wheels and axles Next, we will be making a poster about our wonderful creation s and their attributes to sell it to the customers.

Social Studies : On Friday, we started learning about one of the communities in our Social Studies unit ;"India" . We learned about Indian flag and the meaning of its symbolism to the nation.

Loom Room:Loom room is up and running ! Our weaving club is already filled with some great and vibrant samples of weaving and more continues to grow ! We have learnt some vocabulary related to weaving industry. Ask me about the "warp thread, loom and Tabby weaving. Here are some of the samples .
