                     Hello Room 3!

Literacy : In Language Arts, we have been learning different types of poetry i.e Acrostic , haiku and Limericks. Ask me about these poems and the pattern of rhyme and rhythm they follow. We also reviewed "Writer's Process" to practice self edit our writing. 

Today, we had "Literacy Centres".

We did  SWW( School wide Write ) for the month of March .

Friday Spelling test is being sent home today with a prepatory pre-test .

 Spelling Words :Spelling test will be on Friday April 9th.

Grade 3's focus for spelling this week is"ou" sound and academic vocabulary.

Grade 4's focus is "ure" and academic vocabulary.

Math: We have started our new Math unit " Shape and Space

( Measurement) .Grade 3 will be learning about , standard /non standards units of time, length, capacity, understanding of perimeter of regular and irregular shapes and 2-D and 3-D shapes along with conversion. 

Grade 4 will be learning about  understanding the concept of congruency, concretely and pictorially, creating symmetrical lines in a 2-D shape. In addition, reading and recording calendar dates in a variety of formats and measuring area in square units.

Technology :

Today we did a review  of the  "Patterns and Relationships unit  in Mathletics.
